Happy Halloween

One more party to go before the inevitable candy detox begins.
Quote of the day: Daddy, when I grow up I want to be a real nun!

There's some mother daughter love too, ya know

It isn't all about the dream team that is Andy and Mia. I'm not always chopped liver. Every once in a while she even acknowledged me at Disney World. See, I have proof:Ok, maybe that wasn't the best proof. How about these:
Perhaps you are growing tired of seeing my adorable family pictures from our perfect trip to Disney World. Perhaps you can bite me.

Update: Ok, this (plain ol black and white) will have to work until I can convince my hubby that $60 for a blog makeover really is money well spent. So basically, get used to this.

I'm not digging this new look - I can't handle the title looking like this. Anyone have any suggestions? I think it is time for me to break down and pay the big bucks for a new look.

Father Daughter Love

Mia is an exact clone of Andy. They were quite the team at Disney World. I seriously thought Andy was going to jump out of his skin from excitement at the realization that Mia shares his same love for roller coasters. Those two were unstoppable. I won't be surprised if they plan a secret trip back to the parks without me. That's just how they roll.
Here they are devising their plan of attack at Magic Kingdom:
I swear she is Andy in drag. Apparently I have all recessive genes.
...and nothing thrills my soul more.

Celibacy is the theme for this year

What every cofC minister's children should be for Halloween:Mia announced months ago that she wanted to be a nun from Sound of Music for Halloween. "You mean Maria?" I asked. "No, the head nun," she declared resolutely. And she hasn't wavered since. When you feel the calling you better listen. So in the spirit of irreverence we decided to make Bode a priest.
I love my quirky little girl. I couldn't have planned it better myself.

14

months, that it (I am growing fond of using numbers to title my posts. I am that easily humored). This post is a little late as Bode actually turned 14 months while we were living it up in Florida - without him...heh, heh, heh.

He's definitely a keeper.

9

So maybe I got a little wrapped up in that last, slightly obnoxious post to give a shout-out to my hawt hubby for nine years of marriage. This means that next year is the big 1-0. I had plans of spending it on a wonderful secluded island with nothing but books and seafood, but I have a feeling after last week it may be spent on space mountain. I'm afraid we are becoming one of those couples. You know, the kind with Disney fanny packs and mickey tattoos. If this happens to be you, my apologies for the judgement you once received from me. I've been humbled.
One would think that after nine years of marriage I would have a decent picture of the two of us. One would be wrong.

Run, don't walk to Disney World

Here are just a few (okay, maybe more than a few) reasons why:
