A tribute

My grandmother, otherwise known as Ahmo, is the most wonderful woman in the world. There is no one like her. It's that simple. No one. "Ahmo," you ask? What in the world does that mean? Well, it is just what came out of my mouth one day when I was a tiny little thing, and that was that. She has been Ahmo ever since.

Not only has she been one of the most important people in my life, but she is now one of the most important people in my children's lives. And that makes her all the more special. Her energy, generosity, love, and enthusiasm are an inspiration to me.

Mia made this cake at her house this morning:

"Why, her hair isn't even combed and those pj's look like they have been worn for days!" Well, that is what is so special about Ahmo. She sees what most of us never really see - the big picture.

Oh, and then there's this:

I never said she was perfect....

Okay it is hard to blog stalk quietly at your desk when you see a picture of your friends granny flipping off the camera!! People stopped at my office and asked if I was okay!!! That's freakin funny!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love Ahmo!!!!! You're so lucky to have her! I think I'll move to Oklahoma and tell Magnolia that this is her long lost Great Grandma. I think she'll believe me - she's gullible like that.
