1 choking 10 month old + 1 call to 9-1-1 + 1 completely freaked and panicked mother + calm, nice lady on the phone talking me through the steps to dislodge cracker + 1 ambulance + 1 firetruck + 1 little girl in nothing but panties and her mom's high heel shoes = 1 VERY close call.
Note to self: Your infant son with only four teeth probably can't handle an entire Ritz cracker. You need to get a clue woman.

oh my gosh! that must have been scary. I'm glad he is ok....he seems to have recovered nicely...though, I'm not so sure how fast he'll recover from these pictures once he's in high school!
Choking is the scariest thing ever! I get totally freaked out when my kids do it, so I can totally relate. I'm glad to hear everything is okay.
Sorry Sum. That is so scary. I'll cancel the ritz cracker order I had in for his first birthday! (Maybe I will buy that boy some clothes instead...)
Roxy's choking incident occurred at this age as well. I personally believe that reflux kids have a daring way of swallowing - which also makes them champion burpers. If Bode continues to keep you on your toes like this, at least your toes should be professionally pedicured - you deserve that luxury.
wow Summer that is really scary. I am glad he is alright now.
Wow...I'm glad everything is okay!
We thought Rielyn had swallowed a AAA battery when she was this age. After a call to the Dr. (who I'm pretty sure questioned my mothering abilities) and about a gallon of milk (he said it would neutralize the battery acid and it would eventually come out in her diaper), we found the battery in the couch. No-one is perfect!
