Dear Andy, I think your fantasy football team needs a little attention.

Whew, that was a close one. Now that I am confident that Andy is not looking at this post, check this out.
Meet Mia:
Apparently, Mia felt the need to clone herself because one dominating personality in our house just wasn't enough.

She put him in her pj's, handed him a baby doll, and shoved him into her tiny little doll bed.
I was about to come to his rescue until I asked him what his baby's name was and he sweetly said, "Summer."
"Keep right on playing, sweet boy. Mommy, loves you."

It's time to figure out those parental control thingies for the internet.

Apparently the two-year-old has figured out how to navigate the IMac.

"Yah, I'm the stuff."
He starts with nice, age appropriate things like learning letters...

...and ends with YouTube videos of the Beatles. Every time.
It hit me like a ton of bricks this week: My kid is going to be in a rock band, there's just no way around it.

And then this occurred to me: The band always practices at the drummer's house.

Heaven help me.

Project Runway? Maybe not.

Mia is a creator.  She is always creating something.  Always.  She writes, draws, composes, cooks, paints, acts, sings, and lately she has started designing clothes.

Here she is modeling her latest line of swimwear.  It is recycling at its finest, people.

And I kid you not, she was dead serious about wanting to have a pool party and make these for all her friends.  Where is the line between encouraging a passion and protecting your kid from humiliation?  If you ever see me in an extra large Target sack you'll know I haven't found it.

Shake it up baby now....

video
Mia concocted a plan to go to Yaya's all weekend without her rockstar brother so Bode and I are having fun in Photobooth on our new Mac.

I am assuming that there will be a time when it won't be cute to hear my son singing songs with multiple drug references and sexual innuendoes. But for now, I think his Beatles obsession is adorable.

Moms and Muffin Tops

Actually it was Moms and Muffins, but let's be real, we've all got 'em and eating muffins is why (well, that and carrying children.....and eating muffins while carrying children).

A very sweet morning at Sonshine School.  Thanks, Mia (and Mandy and Jennifer).

She's got it covered

Mia putting the boys to bed:Mia getting a little sassy and snapping at the photographer. I believe the quote was, "GET OUT!"
Apparently Bode was relegated to a bucket. The girl doesn't put up with any crap from two-year-olds. There will be consequences.

The only difference between men and boys is the cost of their toys.

A sweet little boy spent 6 hours in my house yesterday installing a new tv, blu-ray player, and surround sound.
Happy Young Life Crisis, Babe.
You are now officially a man.

I highly recommend putting a slide in your living room...

...while you wait for your new furniture to arrive.

And then let your children launch themselves off of it while you take pictures and pray they don't kill themselves so you don't have to explain to the authorities that you were encouraging this kind of behavior.

The chairs may not make it here until March but this baby has arrived. We're bonding quite nicely.

If it weren't for the milk I wouldn't even know today was New Years

I did not know last night was New Year's Eve and today was New Years until I checked the expiration date on the milk this morning. Kids will do that to you.

But don't cry for me, friends. The truth is earlier this week I spent three days staying here:

and eating here and here (OK I might have eaten here more than once in three days. I might still be salivating over those fries. And for the first time in my life, I might be dreaming about cheeseburgers. Huh, I guess this is what it's like to be a man.)
and shopping here
and hereand seeing this fabulous film. And best of all, Andy and I got to do it all with this great couple (sans Greyson).

There may not be any pictures to prove this trip actually happened (apparently I do not know how to work a camera without a kid in front of it), but if you're having any doubts, come on over and check out my living room, closet, and waistline. They don't lie.
