Well, this is just great.

So Mia is obsessed with Satan.

I didn't exactly see this one coming.

Although I haven't been adequately prepared for anything so far when it comes to parenting so I don't know why I am surprised.

This is how it went down:
Mia: So I was talking to Satan last night and I was asking him why he won't just be good. I told him if he would just be good I would worship him too.

Me: Can you please repeat that word for word so I can blog about this later?
Kidding.
Me: Huh?

Mia: Mom, I just wish Satan would be good so I could worship him too.

Me: some inaudible rambling about how Satan doesn't have any love in his cold, dark heart so don't waste your time trying to worship him because that really creeps Mommy out.

Or something to that effect.

Mia: I think I know what Satan looks like.

Me: Huh?

Mia: He has really, really mean eyebrows.

Me: I don't think so, Babe.

Mia: How do you know?

Me: I don't, but I just really don't want you saying that to anyone else. It may be taken the wrong way.

Mia: Why?

Me: Because God made lots of people with very defined eyebrows and they love Jesus and are definitely not satan.

Mia: Then why did he give them mean eyebrows?

Me: I think I hear Bode in your room trying to steal your princess dolls.

I am laughing so hard I'm crying! If it makes you feel better she didn't say anything about Satan today at school. She didn't mention any eyebrows either. Thankfully, I just had mine waxed.

That is one creative child. I think I was so afraid of Satan at a young age I wouldn't have even thought of bargaining with him until he was good:). Mia, you crack me up! I understand the concern for sure, though. I would be like, WHAT?!

No words. Keep her far, far away from Erick's eyebrows. She may never come over again.

I feel your pain. Abby takes it to the other extreme and devises all kinds of ways to hurt 'the deevl'. Or whatever we tell her not to do, she says its ok to do it to the deevl. Me: Abby this is why its important to always tell the truth. Abby: But not to the deevl, I'm only going to tell lies to the deevl. Look there is a train, if the deevl were here I'd tell him to go stand on the tracks!

What can you say to that?

I told Jonathan about it and he was cracking up. Then I mentioned that he has evil devil eyebrows:).

Collin went through an "evil eyebrow" phase too. It's so funny! The Devil puppet we use at SSS (he hasn't been out since September) has REALLY mean eyebrows. Yes...we have a devil puppet.

I think you should go global with your blogs. They are hilarious and very enjoyable. You could make money.

I am sure you would rather not have to blog about your child and the devil but as a reader, I love it!

(I misspelled a word previously - I'm crazy like that!)

That is so funny!! I thought I was the only one with a kid obsessed with Satan. And, yes, it REALLY creeps me out too!! :)

BTW - Remember the house you loved? The one with the cool lights from Dallas? Someone you know bought it today (closed on it)! Christopher Malan and his wife. They were really sweet. Isn't that funny?? The whole connection to OCU gave it away. :)
