If you know my daughter, you probably know about her fascination/obsession with Wicked. The only reason her love of all things Wicked has been unique up to this point is because the child had never seen the play. She started singing the music when she was 4, had a Wicked themed birthday party when she turned 5, was Elphaba for Halloween in pre-k, has the book, the Elphaba doll, and knows all about the original broadway cast.
If it wasn't so awesome it would be just plain creepy.
(This is the face of a child who does not want to take a picture because she's terrified that she might miss one nanosecond of the show.)
Sunday, Mia actually got to see what she has been acting out in her bedroom for the past 4 years. She. Was. Thrilled. And thanks to Uncle Lucas, who works in television, she had an autographed playbill to boot.Getting to watch your kid in complete awe is the kind of experience that makes being a Mom so stinkin' fun.

how fun for her! I loved it, the cast was amazing!
It is great - I bet she was beside herself!
Wicked is one of my favorite musicals, and I hate the Wizard of Oz. When I saw Wicked I had very low expectations, since I'm not a Wizard of Oz fan, but it blew me away!
I'm glad Mia was finally able to see Wicked.
