The road is marked with suffering

I don't usually get too serious on this here little blog. It's just not my thing. However, as I have become more involved (ok, obsessed) with the blogging community I have come across so many people in the throws of crisis. I have spent several nights tossing and turning, praying and crying out to God on behalf of people who's stories have touched me, changed me. And I am glad. Because I know that someday I will need the wonderful blogging community to cry out to God on my behalf. And beleive me, I will ask.

Here are a few people that are in need of prayers. If you know of others, please share. I am committed to praying these people through the desert places. Please join me. http://nieniedialogues.blogspot.com/ - Stephanie and her husband were badly burned in a plane crash. They have 4 beautiful children.

http://thewims.blogspot.com/ - a friend of a friend. Her husband died Monday of cancer. They have two little kids.

http://www.half12.blogspot.com/ - one of their twin daughters died a couple of weeks ago

http://www.mattlogelin.com/ - his wife died 27 hours after giving birth to their first child

Blessed be your name
In the land that is plentiful
Where the streams of abundance flow
Blessed be your name

Blessed be your name
When I'm found in the desert place
Though I walk through the wilderness
Blessed be your name

Every blessing you pour out,
I turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say...
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be your glorious name

Blessed be your name
When the sun's shining down on me
When the world's all as it should be
Blessed be your name

Blessed be your name
On the road marked with suffering
Though there's pain in the offering
Blessed be your name

Every blessing you pour out,
I turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say...
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be your glorious name

You give and take away
You give and take away
My heart will choose to say
Lord, Blessed be your name

My heart breaks as well. I know of some of these, but not all. I cry and pray most nights at the computer.

I HATE CANCER!!! I HATE SICKNESS! I HATE THE DEVIL!!!

I have been reading the book "Anointing for Healing" by Melanie Hemry and Gina Lynnes. it is so full of testimonies of people being miraculosly healed. I am ready to see some of the mountian moving healing that God can do! (One of the authors goes to Church on the Rock in OKC.)

Summer this kills me. It makes me ache deep. DEEP. Nothing has challeneged my faith more than reconciling an all-powerful, all-knowing, GOOD GOD with suffering children and empty-armed mommas. I watched a friend bury her daughter two years ago and I never want to do that again.

The Healing Book sounds incredible. I wish I could lay hands on those families and pray with you. Like right now -- though I don't know any of them -- I am crying and all I want to do is wrap my friggin arms around them and cry out for a miracle, for peace, for supernatural love to engulf their broken, bleeding hearts.

That song hurts me. "My heart will choose to say, Blessed be your name" Now that is hard to sing sometimes. I'm working on it.

Loved this post.

Hey Summer. I am so surprised that we have been reading several of the same blogs, and have been praying for the same people! I was heart-broken to hear of Brad's passing. Another baby that needs lots of prayers right now is baby Jonah http://patriceandmattwilliams.blogspot.com/
Jonah was just born, and has a very rare skin-disorder, making it impossible to be held, fed, etc. They now realize that this must have been the same thing that caused their first child to die at just 37 wks gestation. Anyway, if you have room for another prayer-request, I know that they would really appreciate it!

Wow! A little look at what others are dealing with when you think you are going through trials. I am in tears and appreciating the good and bad in my life. My heart and prayers go out to all of those people.
