Mia made a car the other day. Notice that she is in the backseat with her seat belt on:
Either she is the perfect little rule-follower, or her domineering parents have put the fear of God in her. I choose to believe the former.

Art project gone terribly bad

So maybe Jackson Pollock is a genius afterall.
I don't care if my brilliant children did it, this aint art.

Thrill Seeker

Sad Irony

My last post is truly ironic as our dog, Ringo, went MIA (more irony) this morning. Does he have on his shiny collar with his name and contact information on it? Why of course not. That would actually be responsible of us and we do have a reputation to maintain. My sweet husband has been driving around for hours looking for him. So if you don't mind, say a prayer...for Andy.

Update: Ringo has been found safe and sound. Andy pulled up with Ringo in the car about 5 minutes ago. Andy had a smile on his face bigger than the day Mia was born (actually, i think that was just the look of sheer terror if I recall correctly. The day Bode was born he wasn't smiling at all, he was still in a state of shock at how many times his sweet little wife yelled, "Oh Jesus..." I still kind of feel bad about that. I really thought I was above that kind of talk. But when the going got tough, I went straight for the profanity. Sad, I know.). Okay, back to the point......Ringo is fine, and my plans for a spotless house free of disgusting pet hair just went out the window.

You know you've had enough kids when...

it becomes impossible to take a decent family picture. This is as good as it gets people. We all look miserable - and we are.

My Baby started VBS today...

I'm definitely blaming this emotional meltdown on hormones but I have been a wreck about this. It doesn't help that I realized this weekend that the size 4 clothes are in the big-girls section of Target; along with training bras, fake hair pieces, hip-hop dance wear, and hooker earrings. I need a sedative....

Andy owes me big

Yes, this is my husband on the field at Yankee Stadium after getting to interview players for a top secret mission that I can't talk about on this blog (I just said that to make myself feel all important):
Here he is trying to play it cool, like he does this kind of thing all the time:In the dugout:
The limo and their amazing driver "Scottie."

So if your keeping score (like I am) here is the running tally for this year:

Andy: Guatemala, Ghana, New York City, and New York City/New Jersey

Summer: at home cleaning up vomit, at home eating stale cheerios for dinner, at home changing stinky diapers, and at home washing toilet water off of my sons entire body

I know it's a close call but I think Andy might be coming out a little bit ahead....

Andy's other children

Receiving the very first thing they have ever owned - their very own bibles with their names printed on them. Thank you MRCC members!

Reading Dr. Seuss, just like he does every night with Mia.

Gena - this is for us

See, they really do love each least until they hate each other. We will just both have to keep praying that love really does win in the end.

My Soy-Milk Babies

It may taste like grass, but these kids love it! Personally, I want to gag just smelling the stuff, but not as much as I want to gag cleaning up the diarrhea after one of my kids drinks cows milk, so I think we will just stick to our $7.00 a gallon grass juice. And you thought your milk was getting expensive. These kids are drinking away their college funds!

Just flat desperate for a post

I faithfully read/shop/browse Black and White Delight. I obsess over all things black and white. I probably have cataracts as I love stark contrasts, but anywho....

My rugs came in yesterday. Who knew had such fun and modern designs? Are they the worst possible quality? Of course. Do I care? Not in the least.

That's just how I roll.
